Interview of Anders Berner, WTC Business Services CEO. An exceptional site in the heart of the science park, an international network of more than 300 WTCs implanted in 100 countries, Sophia-Antipolis WTC business Center is more than a business center, it is an opening towards international business and technology which acts like a control lever in companies growth. Launched in 1996, Sophia Antipolis WTC accounts 60 companies which chose to settle their premises there to benefit from the sample group of services such as Trade Missions, Match-Making In ten years, the WTC organized more than 100.000 B to B international meetings thanks to its Match-Making Futurallia software. The last Match-Making event in the WTC of Poitiers collected more than one thousand companies from the whole world. 3 questions to Anders Berner, WTC Business Center CEO : 1. What differentiates you from the other business centres of the science park ? One of our main assets is the fact that our offer leans on a worldwide business network which helps companies to find partners or customers in other countries. Besides, we are in charge of the total administration of our members, including of the "reporting" to parent companies, from the accounting seizure to the balance sheet, in partnership with LG Audit ; we have a Data Center where we accommodate our members servers and from where we manage the network of the WTC IP telephony as well as the construction of the European WTC Intranet. 2. Are there types of activities which prevail among your customers? Our members represent Sophia Antipolis specialities ; we accommodate as well big companies (Neuf Telecom for example) as companies of software development of a single employee. 3 Do you have examples of recent " success stories "? The new World Trade Center of Malmö in Sweden is the building which consumes the less energy in the world. The first two actors of this construction, SEEC (specialist of system of storage of energy in the ground) and Energiborren (a company specialized in drilling for the geothermal science) have just settled down here and our goal is definitly to have here a nucleus of companies which will participate in the know-how transmission towards France.
